LAPID--Louis S., M.D. The Mount Sinai Alumni Association mourns the recent passing of Dr. Louis S. Lapid, a mainstay of The Mount Sinai Medical Center since 1940. Dr. Lapid completed his residency, fellowship and research fellowship at Mount Sinai in Gynecology in 1947. President of the Alumni Association from 1972-1973, he received the Association's Jacobi Medallion in 1993 for distinguished achievement in medicine and extraordinary service. Dr. Lapid's dedication to the medical students of Mount Sinai was unmatched. The Executive Board: Dr. Martin S. Goldstein, Dr. Jeffrey T. Laitman, Dr. Jonathan D. Schiff, Dr. Lyris A. Schonholz, Dr. Elliot J. Rayfield and the Alumni Association extend sincere condolences to Lucille, and to his children and grandchildren. At the families request, all donations can be made in Dr. Louis Lapid's name to the Mount Sinai Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship Fund to continue to benefit the students of Mount Sinai.
