Jacobi Medallion - Call for Nominations

Dear Colleagues,

It is time to select the recipients of the Jacobi Medallion, the highest honor the Mount Sinai Alumni bestows “on its own.” 

Nominations are now being accepted for outstanding current or former colleagues who would be most worthy of receiving this prestigious award. 
The Jacobi Medallion honors a current or former colleague who, through long-term service, has made exceptional contributions to the fields of medicine or biomedical research, the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai,  The Mount Sinai Hospital, other members of the Mount Sinai Health System or has exemplified extraordinary dedication to The Mount Sinai Alumni Association. The names of previous awardees can be found at
Please nominate outstanding colleagues:

1. Who are currently within the Mount Sinai community

2. Who were formerly at Mount Sinai as students, fellows, residents, faculty, etc.


Completed nomination submissions will include:

 • A letter of nomination (required)

 • The nominee’s CV or resume (required), and

 • Identify the appropriate nominee category (required):

            ◦ outstanding alumni not currently associated with Mount Sinai

            ◦ full-time faculty

            ◦ voluntary

            ◦ others, for example health care professionals and biomedical scientists


You may also include up to three letters of support for the nominee from other members of the Mount Sinai community, current or past.


You may nominate up to four candidates you feel are deserving of this honor.  


The recipients will be selected by committee and presented with the awards at our annual Jacobi Medallion ceremony, reception and awards presentation on Wednesday, March 16, 2016.

A complete nomination includes: a nomination letter, a CV and a nominee category (and may include up to 3 letters of support). Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
