The Annual Fund is a great place to contribute to our organization. Gifts made by our alumni go toward programs such as purchasing medical equipment for students, financing student publications, and sponsoring student and hospital events, seminars and lectures.

Each year The Mount Alumni Association commits funds for general scholarship support. These are scholarships funds that are sustained by various appeals such as the Annual Fund, membership dues, or unsolicited funds designated for medical student scholarship support. The Alumni Scholarship Committee determines how these funds are used. In the last few years, the funds have been devoted to helping graduating students who have exceptionally high unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loan debt.

This scholarship is intended for children of New York uniformed individuals lost on September 11th, 2001, as well as children whose parent(s) participated in the rescue effort.If no such candidate applies, the scholarship will be awarded to the child of a current member of one of the New York uniformed services. The proceeds of our Annual Golf & Tennis Tournament are designated for this fund. If no qualified candidate is identified, the funds will be disbursed with the general scholarship fund.

The Life Member Scholarship Fund directly benefits current Mount Sinai students. These funds are distributed immediately to current students based on their financial need as determined by the Mount Sinai School of Medicine Finance Department in accordance with the wishes of the Mount Sinai Alumni Association.
