Welcome to the Mount Sinai alumni website.

As an alum, you are part of a 15,000-person strong alumni community that continues to make its mark throughout the country and around the world, helping to enhance the reputation of Mount Sinai. You are witnessing an exceptional time in our history as we delve into a culture of innovation and push the boundaries of knowledge, inspiring our students, trainees, faculty, and staff to question, seek, and discover.

Below are just some examples of our recent accomplishments:

  • The magnificent new 550,000-square-foot Leon and Norma Hess Center for Science and Medicine places scientists and physicians in an environment that allows for cross-fertilization of ideas, stimulating progress and encouraging creativity and entrepreneurship.
  • Intensive collaboration across our 34 academic departments and 22 multidisciplinary institutes facilitates discoveries starting in the laboratory and being applied to patient care.

  • The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai ranks #17 among U.S. medical schools for National Institutes of Health funding.

  • Our annual SINAInnovations conference convenes thought leaders from a diverse spectrum

  • of professions for conversation and idea exchange specifically relating to teamwork, creativity, and discovery.

  • The FlexMed program offers an alternative medical school admissions path for highly motivated college sophomores. Undergraduates accepted through FlexMed are not limited to a traditional premed course load, and can pursue their interests in engineering, physics, mathematics, humanities, social sciences, and other areas. This will contribute significantly to the rich diversity of student interests, strengths, and backgrounds that are so important at Mount Sinai. FlexMed students will comprise half of each medical school class.

  • The new Arnhold Global Health Institute provides additional venues for students and their mentors to improve the health and protect the human rights of people around the world through research, education, and patient care initiatives.

  • An academic affiliation forged between Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) pairs the unique biomedical research and patient care strengths of Mount Sinai with the engineering and invention prototyping expertise of RPI.

  • Robust infrastructure supports scientific advances in genomics, high performance computing, computational biology, molecular pathology and imaging to enhance our ability to predict, diagnose, treat, and prevent human disease.

  • A new affiliation with National Jewish Health in Denver, the nation's leading respiratory hospital, focuses on differentiated care and research in respiratory and related diseases.

These examples are part of everyday life at Mount Sinai. We want our alumni to feel pride in the School of Medicine and look forward to sharing our new accomplishments with you.
